What are Memory Keepsakes?
A memory keepsake is a handmade item either in the form of a stuffed animals, blanket or cushion which is made out of items of clothing that you do not want to part with. These items of clothing may be your child’s first onesies or an item of clothing from a loved one who sadly is no longer with us. It could be a collection of various clothing and or photos to make up a beautiful gift for someone so they can cherish these memories.
Does it matter what types of clothing I send?
Keepsakes can be made out of almost any clothing although knitted and very light material is not ideal, so best avoided. You may want to consider the end product and match the items of clothing so it is colour coordinated. The best clothing to send are obviously onesies, pyjamas, vests, uniforms (school or work i.e. military), dresses (including wedding, bridesmaid, flower girl or christening), shirts, skirts, sports gear or trousers.
How many items of clothing do I need to send?
Each product description informs you about how many pieces of clothing is required for that particular item. If you want to send extra, that is absolutely fine. If you do decide to send extra, just provide me with a note to specify whether you want me to use a bit of all the items or just use specific ones first and if need be use the surplus.
What happens to any items unused?
These items will be safely returned to you with your completed keepsake. Please note that any material remaining from used clothing, will not be returned.
What if I do not send enough items?
I will contact you and let you know how many more items are required for the project.
What condition does the clothes have to be in?
The clothes need to be clean and in reasonable condition. Obviously there will be some wear and tear. If I think that an item is going to have an impact on the final product, I will contact you and we can discuss the options.
How do I send you my items of clothing?
If you do not live nearby, parcel your items up and send them via Royal mail or courier signed for to ensure they arrive safely.
Where do I post my items to?
Once you have placed your order, a confirmation email will be sent to you which will have all the required details on it.
How do I know when to send my items of clothing?
I will email you when I am getting ready to start your order to ask you to post your clothing.
How long do I have to wait for my keepsake?
Obviously this depends on the demand at the time of ordering but I aim to have your keepsake returned to you within 8 weeks. If for any reason I feel there will be a delay in this, I will contact you to discuss a way forward.
I want to purchase a keepsake as a present but do not have access to the clothes, what do I do?
No worries, the easy solution here is to purchase a gift voucher for the required amount you want to spend. This enables the recipient to get a keepsake made whenever it suits them (as long as it is within the 1 year period from purchasing the vouchers).
Do you ship overseas?
Unfortunately at the moment, we only deliver to the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
I want to post to a BFPO address. Can you do that?
Of course. Parcels approximately the size of a shoebox, weighing up to 2 kg can be sent to a BFPO address. It is important to provide the appropriate BFPO number and not the country in which the recipient is based. Although keepsakes are usually sent 1st class signed for, this is unavailable with this service out with the UK. When a parcel is sent to a BFPO address, it is sent by Royal Mail to the British Forces Postal Office and it is their responsibility to ensure that the parcel is delivered to the correct location. Therefore please note that Miamama cannot be held responsible for any lost parcels.
I want my child’s name and date of birth on the keepsake. Is this possible and at what price?
Yes this is possible and all my keepsake prices include embroidery of name and date of birth.
How do I pay?
The payment system I use is PayPal therefore you can choose to fund your payment either from the balance in your PayPal account, a credit card or bank account. Cheques cannot be accepted.
I do not have a PayPal account, so how do I pay?
Don’t worry, you do not need a PayPal account to make a payment, just click the link “don’t have a PayPal account” and follow the instructions.
How secure is this payment system?
The reason I have chosen PayPal as my payment system is due to the fact it is trusted worldwide and it is secure. PayPal protects your privacy so therefore I never see your card or bank details.
Can I return my item?
We hope that you are satisfied with your purchase (s) from our website but if there is any reason that you are unhappy with any skincare purchases, Miamama will offer a refund on items which are returned within 30 days of dispatch as long as they are in their original, unopened condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that sale items cannot be returned. For personal hygiene reasons, items such as lip gloss, deodorants or unsealed products cannot be returned unless they are faulty or if they have a seal which remains intact.
Concerning the keepsakes, as these are handmade, it is not possible to provide a refund unless the fault is due to a mistake on our behalf (incorrect spelling of a name for example). In this situation you will be offered the opportunity for us to rectify the fault where possible.
Please be advised that Miamama is under no obligation to provide refunds once a baby yoga or massage course has commenced. If you are unable to complete the full 5 week course for whatever reason, you will be offered an opportunity to attend these missed classes during a different scheduled course (depending on available spaces).
Can I cancel my order?
As we are dealing with handmade keepsakes, if you wish to cancel your order, please do so before sending us the items of clothing. A full refund will be made at this time. However if you decide to cancel your order after the items of clothing have been received by us and the keepsake is being made, a refund is not possible at this late stage.
Miamama is fully aware of how important these items are to you and we will treat them with the respect they deserve. If however you change your mind once the item is being created, Miamama cannot be held responsible for the items of clothing which have already been cut in preparation for the keepsake. Only the items that has not been altered will be returned if requested at the expense of the purchaser.
With regard to the skincare products, you are within your rights to cancel an order up to 7 days post receipt of goods. Your wish to cancel must be in writing and the goods must be returned at your own cost in the same condition, unopened and unused.
At what age can my baby start baby massage and yoga?
Although baby massage can be performed from birth, I recommend mums to wait until they have had their 6 week post-natal check-up. This gives mum and baby a chance to get settled back home and into some sort of routine. It gives mum time to recover after child birth and for any health conditions to be followed up on postnatally. Baby yoga and massage is best suited to the pre crawling stage. This is a requirement so that both you as a parent and your baby get the most out of these classes.
Although baby yoga can be performed from 8 weeks, as some of the moves are best suited to babies over 16 weeks I have made this the minimum age restriction to my classes.
My baby was premature, does the same age of participating in a course apply?
As long as your baby is past its expected date of confinement and there is no medical conditions stating otherwise, premature babies can participate at the above ages.
How do I know when the best time is to massage my baby?
The best time to massage baby is during the awake alert stage. When they are content and happy to interact with you.
What oil can I use on my baby?
The oil I use is cold pressed 100% organic sunflower oil. This is scent free and less likely to cause any skin irritation.
Can I massage my baby every day?
Of course as long as baby is happy to do so. It is ideal to integrate massage into the daily routine e.g. after bath time.
When should I not massage my baby or do baby yoga?
Never perform baby massage or yoga on a sleeping baby or when baby is not happy to participate.
My baby does not like some strokes or movements, should I persevere doing them?
If a baby is not happy with a certain stroke or movement, refrain from doing that particular stroke or movement during this session but try it again next time.
How long after baby immunisations can I attend a class?
I recommend waiting for 48 hours post immunisations to attend a baby yoga or massage class.
I have made a mistake with my order, can I change it?
Do not worry, as long as it is before a product is dispatched or a keepsake has been started, just contact customer services and we will deal with the issue.
I forgot to use my voucher before placing my order. What can I do about this?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept the voucher unless the voucher code is applied at checkout. If for some reason the code is not working, please contact customer services before proceeding any further.
I have still not received my order
Once your item has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email to notify you of this. If you have not received an email from us within 24-48 hours, please check your spam mail before contacting us.
We aim to process and dispatch items within 1-3 days. Items are posted Monday – Friday but during any holidays this obviously has an impact on this. Orders received during non-working days, will be processed during the next working day. Orders to the UK mainland and rural areas may take a little longer for delivery.

My product is damaged/ an item is wrong or I am missing an item. What do I do?
First of all we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact customer services as soon as you have received your delivery (please ensure you contact us within 7 days of receiving you products otherwise they will not be accepted). Please have your customer order number ready. We will take your name, address and the details relating to your order. We will then determine whether you would like a refund, exchange or replacement. If your item was incorrect or damaged you will be asked to return it to us.
I am returning an item, do I have to pay the postage?
If the item is incorrect or an item is missing from your order, contact customer services and they will advise you on how to return and receive the correct item free of charge.
Do you refund the delivery charge?
Sorry but no we do not as delivery charges are non-refundable.
I am waiting on a refund. How long does this take?
You will be refunded through your payment method up to 14 days after we receive the goods.
How can I get more information about the products you stock?
If you require further information than that provided on this website regarding a specific product, all the brands stocked by Miamama have their own specific website with in depth details. Just type the brand name in the search and you should be able to access information from there.
What is the shelf life of your products?
The recommended shelf life varies from product to product but on average due to the lack of artificial preservatives, the recommended shelf life is 6 months from purchase.
Are the products you sell tested on animals?
All the companies stocked by Miamama are against animal testing and cruelty.
How do you decide what products to sell?
Miamama follows strict guidelines produced by specific certification bodies such as US Department of Agriculture (USDA), The Soil Association, EcoCert, Australian Certified Organic (ACO), and Organic Food Federation. With the use of these guidelines, a decision is made on what ingredients to avoid. The ingredients of each product we stock is carefully scrutinised along with the companies ethics and environmental beliefs.
Are all your products 100% natural or organic?
The products we choose are determined by their ingredients and the avoidance of harmful chemicals which are listed in the product selection guidelines. Therefore not all the products we stock are 100% organic, natural or certified but will fall within the selection guidelines, providing you with safe, free from toxin products for mother and baby.
What is the best way to contact you?
The best way to contact us is via email. Emails are checked on a regular basis throughout the day and this enables us to deal with your query more efficiently.
